Katestai.lt began with a simple and personal idea: to create a place where mathematics feels understandable, calm and encouraging. The website was started for my daughter Leona, and for other children who need a little more practice, confidence and space to learn without unnecessary pressure.
Mathematics you can practise again
Mathematical ability grows through regular practice. Sometimes a child does not need more theory; they need another opportunity to solve a problem independently, notice the order of operations and discover that they can find the answer themselves. Katestai.lt tests are made for short, clear and regular practice at home, at school or before an important assessment.
In many tasks the numbers change, so the same topic can be practised again without simply memorising an answer. This helps develop quick calculation, attention, logical thinking and confidence when facing a new problem.
From first numbers to school exams
We aim to build mathematics tests for grades 1–12: from numbers, addition, subtraction and multiplication to fractions, percentages, equations, geometry, functions, data analysis and probability. Learners can choose a grade or a topic and work at their own pace.
Katestai.lt can support everyday practice, revision, preparation for school tests, assessments and exams. A test result is not an official mark; it is a friendly guide that helps a learner see what they already understand and which topic may be worth revisiting.
Built with children, parents and teachers in mind
We want the website to be useful beyond the learner. Parents can find extra practice for their child, while teachers can quickly share a task for a specific topic or grade. Feedback on tasks, translations and the learning experience is valuable because it helps us make the website clearer and better.
In the future, we hope to make Katestai.lt a more social and community-focused place: with useful recommendations, ways to discover excellent teachers and tutors, and information relevant to parents who support children's learning. Any new features will be developed responsibly while keeping our main purpose clear: helping children learn mathematics without pressure.
